Helpful Tips and Tricks

• Dancers should have a nude leotard (bra for older girls) under their costume for changing purposes. No colored underwear or bras please!
• Older girls please wear deodorant, and pack in your bag in case we get extra sweaty (:
• Finger nail polish needs to be either, nude, light pink, or french manicure. NO other colored polish
• No bracelets, rings, necklaces… etc. Earrings are allowed as long as they are white or light diamond studs.
• Please write names in shoes
• Do Not wear your costume to the Veterans hall. We will have a dressing room area available for changing
• Please save your new recital tights for the performances. During the rehearsals wear older tights as the hall is usually dirty.

• Make-up
• Make-up wipes
• Mirror
• Hair brush or comb
• Hair spray / gel
• Bobby pins, hair ties, hair nets for buns
• Deodorant
• Dance shoes
• New recital tights plus extra emergency pair
• Nude leotard / bra
• Costumes and costume pieces / black trash bags make great costume covers. Keep miscellaneous pieces together in a labeled bag
• Old sheet to put down on dressing room floor (the downstairs floor is extremely dirty)
• Activities and quite games for down time
• Water and mess free snacks (there are often long wait times during the rehearsals / shows and no one dances well when they are hangry)
• Older girls – pointe shoe supplies
